6 Little Things

Hi loves!! I’ve been thinking that it’s time to start sharing more about me and who I am. I haven’t been sharing much with you all and it just feels weird because I’m a very open individual (about some things). So, I’m introducing this new segment called “6 Little Things” where I’ll share more about who I am and what kind of things that I am thankful for. Just to start us off, I’m going to tell you one of my favorite quotes:

“I’ve made mistakes in my life. I’ve let people take advantage of me, and I accepted way less than what I deserve. But, I’ve learned from my bad choices and even though there are some things that I can never get back and people who will never be sorry, I’ll know better next time and I won’t settle for anything less than what I deserve.”

1. Puppy Greetings

You may think that this is something so stupid, but hey, I don’t care. Coming home after work everyday to my 3 year old Golden Retriever, Jax, waiting at the front door for me while barking and carrying on and my new Golden Retriever pup, Tucker, crying and wanting to be picked up is one of the best parts of my day. It makes me so happy that they are so excited to see me. No matter what mood I’m in, they can always make it a little better by just being their excited selves.¬†

2. Morning Coffee

James is my boyfriend of almost 6 years for those of you who don’t know. He works extremely hard every day as a first responder (can you guess what he is?) but he still goes out of his way and either buys me coffee from Wired Cafe or makes me a latte with his new espresso maker. He makes me so happy and I couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend.

3. Lunch Dates

This one involves James again but I couldn’t be more grateful for everything he does for me. At least once a week, James tries to meet me for lunch at work. Since he works nights it’s sometimes hard to spend a lot of time like we used to with each other so when he can meet me for lunch on my break, it makes me super happy.

4. Sunday Dinners

My family and I have a tradition where every Sunday we have dinner at my parent’s house. These dinners also include everyone going to the grocery store and buying groceries together before James and I go home. It’s a nice time to catch up from the busy week.

5. Break in Syncope Episodes

Since I was little, I have had problems with syncope episodes¬†(passing out spells). I went a few years without having an episode and then all of a sudden, they came back and I was having episodes all the time. They would mostly happen when I would overheat or get stressed out, etc. but I’m happy to say that I haven’t had one in a few months now!

6. Creative Outlets

This may sound cheesy, but I’m so happy that I have creative outlets to express myself on. I’m not going to go into a lot of detail as that’s for another day, but I couldn’t imagine not having outlets to be creative on.

XOXO,

Abby
